Inspired by their love, Catherine & Joel tied the knot in a simple yet whimsical ceremony in the beautiful island of Folegandros. The island 'spoke' to the couple due to the beautiful Greek nature and country's well-known sunny weather. The effortless, natural and warm wedding that they imagined had now found its setting.

Infused with natural and rustic elements, the couple chose to keep everything very simple because they didn’t want to overshadow the location. The ceremony was carried on the cliffs of the island having the most breathtaking views and it was beautifully decorated with eucalyptus and natural elements.

The wedding reception décor featured a table setting with grey linen tablecloth and greenery garlands. The décor incorporated natural elements and lots of greenery that Catherine loved and had specifually asked from us: 'I sent a couple of pictures to our wedding planner, Anais at  la fête, of bouquets of greenery that I liked and I didn’t think about it again until the wedding day. On the day, she had the perfect bouquet for me and my bridesmaid. It was mainly eucalyptus which is native to Australia so it was lovely to have a touch of home with me on the day.” (cite: The deep blue sea and the clear sky made the perfect backdrop for the gorgeous shots the the talented photographer delivered.

After the ceremony, the couple celebrated their love with family and friends in a traditional restaurant which was adorned with wooden chairs, candles and greenery garlands. The couple and guests walked from the church to the restaurant through the busy Chora mingling with the locals and accompanied by Greek musicians. Typical greek wedding favors designed by 'la fete' was given to the guests as a souvenir from this lovely wedding! A unique couple with a great sense of humor and much positive energy!!
