Giouli & Periklis

This wedding blew me away! Not just because we had so many friends and acquaintances in common… Or because they won me over with their smiles..... But because WE got these two TOGETHER!

Periklis spent all of his summers on Syros in a neoclassical house in Hermoupolis. Giouli, in love with sweet Periklis, naturally, loved the island too. So, of course, the wedding ceremony could only be held there! Three days of parties! Day one, a pre-wedding party at ONO - Day two, a wedding and beach party in Delfini, Day three, a baptism and party in Allou Yialou restaurant in Kini, Syros.

The theme was liberty! Small flowers that reflected old England everywhere! A diamond and heart design adding a modern romantic mood. Pastel colours filled the churches and venues. The invitation with its artistic background opened to reveal the weekend program. The wedding website provided all of the necessary maps, details and extra information about the events and the island itself. The preparation of the bride took place at Archontiko, Ermoupolis overlooking Agios (St.) Nikolaos and the port of Syros. Periklis and his friends enjoyed the terrace of his own home whilst preparing the groom for the big moment.

The scene was set in Vafeiadaki Street where violins accompanied the bride in her impressive 'Madame Shou Shou' bridal gown as she joined her groom. For Agios Nikolaos church the 'la Fete team' chose six large, handmade baskets in mint, pink and white, filled with amaranth, chamomile, eucalyptus and delicate lilies. The same flowers adorned the candles. The ceremony was accompanied by a charming choir. It was an enigmatic event that reduced the wedding planner to tears :-)

The La Fete team hung the themed hearts from the pergola of the beach bar and prepared a fun photo booth with inflatable lobsters, crocodiles, and silly props! Here, the wedding favour awaited the guests. Peshtemal towels wrapped in twine, with a local treat, sweet handmade sesame seed wrapped in lemon leaf.

The party that followed in Delfini will stay with us forever! Periklis & Giouli, I hope this wedding day will forever remind you of your happiness, and that you will just be able to think of that day and you will smile!!
